I've recently finished reading The Little Book of Value Investing by Christopher H. It was an excellent follow-up to The Little Book that Beats the Market. I highly recommend Greenblatt's 'the little book that beats the market'. His book Margin of Safety is rumoured to sit on Warren Buffett's desk and in Karman's words is the “ intellectual successor to Intelligent Investor.” Margin of Safety is the best and most accessible book on value investing When you find out about value investing, it's like being let in on a little secret. Klarman's ill-fated investment in the computer maker lasted a little over a year, and cost him and his investors around $150 million. In this rough transcript of An Interview with Seth Klarman by Charlie Rose I try to present some of Klarman's key insights into value investing. The purpose of this book has been to explain the tenets of value investing so that you can benefit from the investment strategy that has been shown to have the best long-term success. There are many ways to make money in today's market, but the one strategy that has truly proven itself over the years is value investing. I very much enjoyed The Talent Code, and look forward to this, related book too. I have read hundreds of books on value investing, Warren Buffett etc, and publish investment tutorials on value investing myself. TII is billed as “The Definitive Book on Value Investing” on its cover, and heralded by Warren Buffett (the Michael-Jordan-combined-with-Babe-Ruth of investing) as “By far the best book on investing ever written. I hadn't realized Daniel Coyle was out with a new book (The Little Book of Talent) until I saw an excerpt on Farnam Street. At heart, we are value investors, and there are a multitude of metrics used by value investors to find low prices and high quality. Fortune -- Famed value investor Seth Klarman is done with The hedge fund manager, who is a cult hero on Wall Street - his out of print book on value investing Margin of Safety sells for $2,500 on Amazon - sold all of his remain stake in the computer maker in the fourth quarter.
